Apostille & Legalization Services

U.S. Department of State Authentication for International Use

When your document requires authentication at the federal level, precision matters.

Palm & Seal coordinates federal apostille processing through the U.S. Department of State for documents intended for international use. From submission preparation through tracking and secure return, we manage the process with structured oversight and clear communication.

Federal authentication is often required for immigration, dual citizenship, international business, adoption, and overseas legal matters. We ensure your documents are prepared correctly before submission to reduce delays and rejection risk.

What Is a Federal Apostille?

A federal apostille is an authentication certificate issued by the U.S. Department of State. It verifies the authenticity of a federal document or a notarized document that requires federal-level certification for use in a foreign country that participates in the Hague Apostille Convention.

If the destination country does not participate in the Hague Convention, additional embassy or consular legalization may be required.

We coordinate both apostille and legalization processing when necessary.

When Is a Federal Apostille Required?

Federal apostilles are typically required for:

  • FBI background checks

  • Federal court documents

  • Certificates of naturalization

  • U.S. Patent and Trademark Office documents

  • FDA documents

  • IRS or federal agency records

  • Certain federally notarized documents

If you are unsure whether your document requires state or federal authentication, we review it and guide you to the correct processing path.
