RON Signer Consent
Electronic Signature, Electronic Records, and Session Recording
Each signer reads and signs this before we begin, including anyone who did not book the appointment. Full terms are at RON Service Agreement.
Signing Electronically
A remote online notarization is done entirely with electronic signatures and electronic records. By signing below, you agree to sign your documents, receive notices, and receive your completed documents electronically. Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one.
This consent covers this session and the documents notarized in it. It does not carry forward. You will sign a new consent at your next session.
Paper Copies, Withdrawing Consent, and Contact Changes
You are not required to sign electronically. A remote online notarization cannot be done on paper, so choosing paper means this session cannot go forward and your documents would need to be notarized in person.
You may withdraw consent any time before your documents are notarized. Tell the notary, or email hello@palmandseal.com.
Withdrawal does not affect anything already notarized. A withdrawal during the session falls inside the four-hour window, so only notarial act fees for acts not performed are refunded, to the client who booked and paid.
Email hello@palmandseal.com for a paper copy of this consent or of any notice, or to update your email address or phone number.
Any printing or postage charge is shared with you first.
What You Need to Open and Keep Your Documents
A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a current web browser
Access to the email address you provided
A PDF reader that opens digitally signed PDF files
The ability to download and store electronic files
Download and save your completed documents promptly, and keep the original file rather than a printout. By signing below, you confirm that you can open and save electronic documents this way. If these requirements change so that you may not be able to open or keep your records, Palm & Seal will notify you, and you may withdraw your consent at that point at no charge.
Recording of this Session
Florida law requires every remote online notarization to be recorded with audio and video. The recording and the notary's electronic journal are kept as compliance records for at least ten years and are not delivered with your documents.
Signers Located Outside of Florida
If you are outside Florida during this session, including outside the United States, you want your documents notarized by a Florida notary public under Florida law. You will also state your location aloud during the session.
